The Ocean View Field On-Farm Site

Between the months of June and October, those who rent the Hay Barn for their weddings can also rent the Ocean View Ceremony Site. Located just up the hill on the UCSC Farm, the Ocean View Ceremony site offers guests sweeping views of Monterey Bay while perched atop straw bales on a working farm offering the ideal scene of rustic elegance.

Set with straw bales for seating up to 200, wood chip groundcover and on the UCSC Farm, the abundance of flowers and vegetables provides a unique and colorful backdrop for any event. 

Some details of site use:

• 2 hour minimum use
• Driving on the farm only allowed for rental delivery and drop-off of access challenged guests. Drivers must be escorted by a Center for Agroecology staff member.
• Event rentals and decor must be taken down after ceremony, before dark.
• The site has no water or electricity. Battery powered sound systems are recommended
• Ground is uneven and may have gopher holes. Please warn guests beforehand to wear proper shoes for farm walking.
• Summer months can be warm- shade or umbrellas recommended
• Seating for 200 on straw bales. Covering not included.
• This is a working farm. We ask that guests stay to the designated areas.
